….experiencing FAITH in the Mercy Tradition
Dear families
Thank you to everyone who came to our beautiful Mass celebrating Grandparent’s Day & Mercy Day during Catholic Education Week. It was such a fabulous day, and we thank everyone who contributed to making it such a success. Thank you to our families and special guests for making the time to be with us. We know our students LOVED having you here.
On Friday 1st August, our staff attended the Bishop’s Inservice Day along with 1100 staff from schools in Toowoomba and the surrounding areas. Hosted by Mary MacKillop College, the event offered a meaningful opportunity for our staff to deepen their understanding of Catholic identity. It was a great day for staff to come together and reflect on the profound influence they have on our students’ educational development and growth. The special guest for this year was Fr Frank Brennan SJ AO who explored the hopeful realism in Catholic schools in the year of the Jubilee.
YOU ARE INVITED to our Term 3 Family Parish Mass on Sunday 24th August 9am at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Please join us in celebrating with our singers, choir and musicians. Please let me know if your child is available to attend and read at Mass. Light refreshments will be available afterwards.
