Catholic Schools Touch/Netball Gala Day

As part of Catholic Education Week, our talented Year Five and Year Six students took to the fields to compete in Netball and Touch Football against other Catholic schools in the region. Students participated in both competitive and non-competitive teams, showcasing not only their athletic skills but also their outstanding sportsmanship. From the first whistle to the final siren, our students played with heart, determination, and team spirit, making us proud with every pass, sprint, and goal. The atmosphere was electric, and it was clear that fun and camaraderie were just as important as the competition. A big shout-out to our Girls Touch Football team, who made it all the way to the grand final and triumphed with a thrilling win over Mater Dei. Their teamwork and perseverance were truly inspiring.

Friday sport

Friday Sport is back for Term Three, and our Year Five and Year Six students have hit the ground running. This term, students are participating in Rugby League, Soccer, and Netball, competing against other schools in what promises to be an exciting season of sport. The energy and enthusiasm were unmistakable as students took to the field and court, teaming up with their peers and giving it their all. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many saying they had an awesome time and loved the chance to play alongside their classmates. We’re excited to follow their progress and hear all about the highlights, teamwork, and memorable moments as the term unfolds.

Southwest Primary School Futsal Gala Day

On Monday, 4th August, a group of eight enthusiastic students from Year Five and Six proudly represented St Saviour’s Primary at the Southwest Primary School Futsal Gala Day, held at USQ Toowoomba. Throughout the day, our team faced off against schools from across the region in a series of fast-paced and exciting Futsal matches. With each game, their teamwork and determination grew stronger, leading to an impressive performance. Three wins, one draw, and one narrow loss, just shy of a spot in the grand final. Despite missing out on the final, the players showed remarkable sportsmanship, skill, and school pride, making us incredibly proud. Their positive attitude and commitment on and off the court were a true reflection of the values we uphold at St Saviour’s Primary.

Sport Star

We’re thrilled to celebrate Liam Enders for his outstanding performance at the Wellcamp Duathlon held on Saturday, 19th July. Competing against a strong field of athletes from across the region, Liam demonstrated incredible determination and athleticism, securing an impressive 2nd place finish. The duathlon, which combines running and cycling, is a true test of endurance and versatility. Liam’s commitment to training and his focus on race day paid off, earning him a well-deserved spot on the podium. Congratulations Liam, your achievement is an inspiration to our school community, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.
